What did Soundarya Balasubramani say?
“On the afternoon of September 18, I was walking down the street in London. Just then, a tall man came there. He said to me can you give me some money? When I refused, he punched me in the face. At the same time my nose fractured and started bleeding. For a few seconds I didn’t know what happened. When I looked down at myself, my shirt was covered in blood. Blood was also spilled on the road. My nose was bleeding. I have never seen so much blood before.” Said Soundarya Balasubramani.
The attacker was standing behind me smiling
Soundarya Balasubramani further said, “I immediately got down on my knees as I felt dizzy. I happened to look back and the man who had punched me was standing there laughing. But after all this happened, people rushed. Then the police also came. I was taken to the hospital. I saw the doctor after eight hours.”
Worried about the eyes
Soundarya Balasubramani further said in her post, “During the treatment, my only thought was that the eye is damaged but what if the eye is lost? I was very worried about the eyes. The doctor told me that you can’t open the injured eye right now. After doing a CT scan, the doctor told me that you have fractures in your nose but your eyes are fine. After being told that my eyes are fine, I breathed a sigh of relief and decided to return to India at that moment.
The attacker has been arrested
In another post, Soundarya Balasubramani said that when I was attacked, the police arrested the attacker the next day, on September 19. He had attacked two others before me. He has been arrested and is expected to be sentenced by the court. But I cannot forget that incident. Trying to recover from it somehow. Even thinking about what happened last week makes me cringe.
