Both of these maps show the Palestinian-occupied part of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as fully part of Israel. The map in Netanyahu’s right hand showed the nations of Iran, Syria, and Yemen in black. He was declared as ‘The Curse’. In his left hand, the countries of Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and India were drawn in green. These countries were called ‘The Blessing’.
Interestingly, in these maps, the Golan Heights area in Syria is also shown as part of Israel. At this time, Netanyahu emphasized on the tension on Israel’s borders, its relations with the nations of the Middle East. On October 7, Hamas launched a terrorist attack on Israel. After that, Hamas was condemned all over the world. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condemned the actions of Hamas. India has raised the issue of common people in this war from the beginning. It has also appealed to stop the war between Israel and Hamas.
What exactly did Netanyahu say?
Benjamin Netanyahu held up two maps, ‘The Curse’ and ‘The Blessing’, at the United Nations General Assembly and said, “The world will have to choose between a blessing and a curse”. At this time, Netanyahu attacked Iran. He said, “Iran has been continuously providing arms and other support to terrorist organizations. This is their policy still going on. The world should stop appeasing such countries. I have a message for Tehran (Iran’s capital). If you attack us, we will not rest. We will also attack you. There is no place in Iran that Israel cannot reach. In fact, there is no such place in the Middle-East”.
